Jan Klimas, PhD, RCC
I am a practicing therapist with postdoctoral training in health sciences and psychology research at University College Dublin, Oregon Health& Science University, and University of British Columbia. I am also a mindfulness teacher who teaches meditation in British Columbia and online.
My professional and research interests lie broadly in the following areas:
- psychosocial interventions,
- health professions education,
- systematic reviews and qualitative methodologies. Clinically, I specialize in:
- compassionate evidence-based interdisciplinary treatment for individuals with trauma- and
- stress-related conditions, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and
- teaching mindfulness to community groups.
- I am jointly affiliated as a Research Associate with the Providence Healthcare Department of Family Medicine.
